LAPIDUS 3D HALLUX VALGUS SURGERY Hallux Valgus correction with the Lapidus 3D technique is an advanced surgical procedure designed to treat bunion deformity by addressing its root cause at the first tarsometatarsal (TMT) joint. This method involves fusion of the unstable joint while correcting the deformity in three planes—angular, rotational, and positional—providing a more anatomical and long-lasting correction compared to traditional techniques. Using precise fixation with screws or plates, the procedure restores proper alignment of the big toe, reduces pain, and prevents recurrence. It is especially recommended for patients with moderate to severe hallux valgus, hypermobility, or recurrent deformity. The Lapidus 3D approach offers improved stability, better cosmetic results, and allows patients to return to daily activities with a more natural foot function. There are two methods: Percutaneous (Minimally Invasive) and Lapidus 3D. The method can be determined upon receiving the foot X-ray.
