The given information below about the general procedure for limb lengthening, beginning with the PRECICE2 and then the LON methods. * Patients lengthen themselves 1mm a day, 1cm in ten days, and up to 8cm (approximately 2.7inches max.) in eighty days. They don’t get to walk with full weight bearing on your feet with PRECICE. * We offer accommodation, physical therapy at home, or helper services; however, these services are provided by the business partners, therefore pricing may vary. * Physical therapy at home recommended 3 times a week. * The payment is supposed to be made before the treatment. IMPORTANT NOTE: To measure the femur’s inner gap, a full limb length graph (X-ray) needs to be taken. Only after this measurement can PRECICE nails be ordered. This process may take a few days, and the PRECICE distributor may not have the necessary materials. Therefore, it is better to take the X-rays before coming and send them to the clinic as DICOM files. * For PRECICE, there are two options. Patients can either make a pre-payment to allow the hospital to set and confirm the surgery date and pre-order the nails, or they can pay on-site. Payment on site may cause a delay of a few days. * For the patients' organizational planning, they should take a vacation of more than 3 months. Assuming they have made a prepayment and their surgery date is confirmed, they will undergo mandatory blood tests the day before the surgery. The arrival day and the testing day will be 2 days. They will then spend 7 days in the hospital afterward. The lengthening process will begin at the end of the hospitalization. They will lengthen by approximately 90 days for 8cm. The procedure will take a total of 89 days with this calculation. They should also consider that they will not be able to walk independently after those 89 days. They may begin walking without crutches with the help of a cane in the sixth month. In lengthening with an external fixator (LON METHOD), patients will need wound care because eight Schanz rods will protrude from their skins during the procedure. Home wound care charged seperately. Though the PRECICE 2 procedure is more comfortable, the external fixator allows them to walk during the procedure. However, they may consider the space that the external fixator occupies to be a disadvantage, especially during bathroom visits. The external fixators that are used Railed `linear` type. The doctor finds it safer to perform on the femur only with LON method. Therefore, it allows patients to lengthen up to 8cm only. The fixators are removed after the lengthening (approximately 90 days since the beginning of the lengthening) is achieved. Patients would see the doctor every 10-14-21 days for monitoring purposes; other than that, most of their time they spend will be spent in their flat/hotel.
